Kazak rug of so-called 'Lambalo' design,

Azerbaijan, southwest Caucasus, inscribed and dated 1335 AH (1916-17 CE), 4 ft. 7 in. x 2 ft. 9 in. 1.40m. x 0.79m. £250-350

Condition: Small re-weaves, cut all round; rugs of this group usually have multiple borders (see this sale lot E237/1);

May be from the Azeri village of Kaimagly.
