Hello - I just bought a little 2 x 4 ish Hamadan at auction. (It was billed as a Hamadan, I don't know). I didn't spend very much money for it and it is very dirty. Can I clean this myself? I would like to vacuum it and then wash it out doors, is this a mistake? It has a light green label on the back about 1 1/2 by 2 inches. The label is faded and I haven't been able to make out what it says. I'm going to get out the magnifying glasses and see what I can see. Thanks for any advice you can give me.

After wrecking a few myself I gave up washing rugs and telling other people how to do it. My suggestion is to try someone on my trusted resource list.
